The new Campaign Director position will be based within the Foundation but will also work closely with Hospital team members. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Campaign Director is a key member of the campaign leadership team. He/she is responsible for a wide range of campaign-related activities, including the implementation and execution of the multi-year campaign plan for the largest campaign in RCHSD Foundation’s history. The Director’s responsibilities, in collaboration with the VP, SVP and campaign counsel, include overseeing the campaign timeline, coordinating staff and volunteer leadership, managing campaign meetings, and monitoring campaign reporting.

Key Activities:

  • Implement the existing campaign plan and monitor progress towards key campaign deadlines and deliverables. Adjust when required, in accordance with the existing campaign schedule.
  • Manage the relationships with the steering committee and other campaign committees; act as a main point of contact for committee members and staff.
  • Serve as a key advisor and analyst to VP and SVP on matters of strategic, tactical, and operational importance.
  • Prepare recurring campaign updates for senior leadership, board members, and campaign volunteers.
  • Participate in campaign solicitations as requested.

Immediate Priorities:

  • Complete the creation of the campaign office.
  • Attend campaign meetings and begin building relationships.
  • Assist in recruiting/managing the 100+ volunteers who will support the campaign.
  • Design the internal campaign for RCHSD physicians and medical staff.
  • Become familiar with the first two campaign priorities: pediatric genomics and behavioral health.
  • Work with the marketing team to finalize the campaign brand, marketing materials and communications plan.
  • Assist in planning and implementing campaign launch events.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the implementation of overall campaign plan.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for all campaign-related matters.
  • Supports, convenes, and manages the overall relationship with the steering committee and a number of other campaign committees.
  • Serves as a key trusted advisor and analyst to the Foundation’s VP and SVP on matters of strategic, tactical, and operational importance.
  • Ensures campaign and Foundation strategic plans are aligned and adjust as necessary.
  • Monitors cultivation and solicitation for prospective campaign donors.
  • Ensures prospect lists are maintained and assists in creating prospect-specific engagement strategies.
  • Manages the campaign budget and expenses.
  • Coordinates and ensures campaign communications, recognition, and messaging is applied according the campaign communications plan.
  • Solves problems and addresses issues before they escalate to the VP.
  • Communicates effectively to ensure information is disseminated to the right team members at the right time.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Education – BA/BS degree at minimum.
  • Campaigns – hands-on experience working on/for significant campaigns.
  • Industry experience – minimum 5 years of progressive fundraising experience, with a strong understanding of fundraising strategies and tactics, including moves management, donor research, donor cultivation, stewardship, and gift processing.
  • Business acumen – understands data flow, work processes, and project management.
  • Interpersonal skills – the ability to listen to, connect with, and inspire a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
  • Communication skills – articulate, poised, and possesses strong writing skills. Demonstrates executive presence as and when situations might require.
  • Administration – proven detail orientation and project management skills.
  • Time management – ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritizing tasks and responsibilities accordingly.
  • Location – can make frequent trips by personal vehicle between hospital buildings and venues.
  • Schedule – Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
